Role Definition

Improve quality of design and efficiencies of processes of products and services implements new components, products, or technologies. Interpret customer specifications and drawings, while considering industry regulations.

What you will do :

  • Conducting measurement systems analysis; gathering, analyzing, and communicating non-conformance data.

  • Analyzing non-conformance data and maintaining quality system documentation.

  • Participating in and offering technical support to internal and external audits; following up response of corrective action from audit. Manage and drive resolution of technical and process related tickets.

  • Interacting with engineering team members to determine root cause of quality issues and ensure that corrective and preventive action is implemented. Work with vendors.

  • Create Bill of Materials, analysis of post BOM parts, create and manager Process maps.

• Makes oral presentations and writes reports needed for own work.

• Provides direction to Purchasing and Manufacturing

Level Working Knowledge:

• Recognizes changing demands and priorities; validates changes with management.

• Responds to day-to-day operational priorities while still making progress on project work.

• Performs at least 2-3 concurrent activities without reducing productivity.

Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Utilizes RCA techniques, such as Flowchart, Fish-bone Diagram, etc., to investigate basic problems, determine the causes, and find resolutions.

• Locates factors that resulted in harmful outcomes of one or more past events.

• Pinpoints behaviors, actions, inaction, or conditions that need to be changed.

• Extrapolates lessons to be learned to promote the achievement of better consequences.

• Practices RCA as an iterative process.

Technical Excellence: Knowledge of BOM’s and ERP systems, electrical drawings

Level Working Knowledge:

  • Provides effective technical solutions to routine functional challenges via sound technical competence, effectively examining implications of events and issues.

  • Provides direction to CAD designers to create wiring and assembly drawings

  • Applies technical operating and project standards based on achieving excellence in delivered products, technologies and services.

  • Applies current procedures and technologies to help resolve technical issues in one's general area of technical competence.

  • Writes and validates PLC code for generator control systems, interfacing with various communication protocols.

Collaborating: Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Level Basic Understanding:

Demonstrates a basic understanding of the concept of collaborative processes.

  • Explains the concept of collaboration as applicable to organizations.

  • Provides examples of how collaboration has helped achieve organizational goals.

  • Works with Product support to address rework from the Field.

  • Manage training within Engineering department.

  • Contrasts collaborative with competitive operating styles in organizations.
