Job Summary:

Provide Operations Engineering support to the Circuit Card Assembly Factory located in Andover, MA. Primary responsibilities will be to support the Operation of SMT Process lines , which includes automated and programable equipment, for multiple products. Additional responsibilities include process improvement, cycle time reduction, defect prevention and operator support. Individual will be required to participate in process improvement initiatives, establishment of process base line metrics, Defect prevention, and process data analysis.

This is a 3rd shift only position (9:30pm to 7:00am Sunday to Thursday)

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Advanced knowledge of Solder defect prevention detection, and assessment to ANSI J-STD-001 Class 3 solder joint specifications

• Translating engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation

• Computer and machine programming for manufacturing automation

• Participate in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodology

• Manufacturing process development and support

• Interaction with senior personnel on technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and / or suppliers.

• Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics and reductions in cost and/or defects

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

• 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree. Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization.

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
