Job Summary:

In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

The Ground Radars & Platforms Center within SI&T seeks talented Systems Engineers to support the Patriot program BSIL (BMC4I Systems Integration Laboratory). The BSIL is a state-of-the-art dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities. Every day is a different set of challenges to overcome. Whether in hardware, software, networking, or some combination of all three, you'll be stretched to learn about how our systems work and identify the sources of new and unexpected issues through lots of troubleshooting and data analysis. You'll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and partner to implement solutions. In this role, you'll get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts across the program.

This position is an onsite role in Andover, MA. Travel is expected to White Sands Missile Range and Internationally to support test events. With the ability to support testing on multiple shifts.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Support system level integration and verification, including test planning and execution in the test facilities

  • Prepare integration and verification documentation, such as test plans, procedures, test cases, and reports

  • Utilize DOORS to capture verification artifacts and maintain traceability to requirements

  • Develop automated testing frameworks in support of integration and verification

  • Analyze data to identify and resolve system performance issues and complete requirement verification

  • Compile, summarize, and present data analysis to internal and external stakeholders, including program leadership and external customers

  • Collaborate across engineering functions to drive performance and resolve issues

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior system integration and requirements verification, which necessarily includes system operation, test, data analysis and troubleshooting experience.

  • Experience with operating, maintaining, troubleshooting communications and networking equipment.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with systems integration and verification strategy, including methods and processes, as well as the development of verification plans, procedures, and reports

  • Experience with the operations and maintenance of the Patriot system, and Patriot specific data collection and analysis tools

  • Experience with Patriot BMC4I Communications Hardware

  • Experience interfacing with internal and external customers, and finding technical solutions to complex requirements

  • Experience with generating technical documentation in support of requirements integration and verification, including work instructions and process flow diagrams

  • Experience with technical mentoring

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

  • Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

  • Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
