The Opportunity: Venture Solutions (a Taylor company) is seeking a quality inspector. The quality inspector is responsible for ensuring accurate completion of client projects throughout the production process.We are looking for someone who understands the fundamentals of Direct Mail, knowledge of ISO 9001 documentation, security compliance, and postal regulations. This position may also be exposed to PHI information and must treat the materials in accordance to HIPAA regulations. Individual must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines. This location adheres to the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). All employees must undergo a federal background check, which requires U.S. citizenship. You Responsibilities: Review and validate Quality of Job Specifications, digitally printed output and insertion, in accordance with Quality Control standards to ensure accurate and timely completion of daily jobs Setup Initial Job jackets for 150 - 250 jobs, per day, for daily projects. Perform ongoing Quality checks throughout the production cycle to ensure accurate completion of live work Ensure all paperwork (orders) is accounted for, completed and logged accurately in accordance with the requirements Oversee and review insert tracking system effectiveness and accuracy to ensure all pieces are tracked, as required Perform "Postal Functions" as required for marking jobs complete and produce daily reports for completed work Identify and correct inaccuracies, inconsistencies or ambiguities in the client's specifications and identify primary processing steps, or tasks, that are required to complete a project. Escalate as needed for further resolution/reporting. Your Shift: 2pm - 10pm, Monday - Friday You Must Have: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects/tasks at any given time with a high sense of urgency, prioritizing and during allotted time constraints Able to understand the customer's unique needs and be able to make and present recommendations and alternatives to the team Must be a team player, believing there is always a better way and embrace process improvement initiatives Experienced in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) Strong verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented Must adhere to ISO 9001:2008 policies and procedures Must be able to work overtime as needed Prolonged periods of time sitting or standing performing data entry functions. High school education is required plus 6 months 1+ year in a quality oriented production environment. Direct Mail experience is a must. Must be a US citizen We Would Also Prefer: Supervisory/Leadership skills ISO 9001:2008 Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience Working knowledge of postal regulations is a plus.
