AWS Builder Platform team is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join our team and assist us in constructing and maintaining our internal APIs built on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) services. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable systems on AWS.

Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

• 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience

• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)

• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java

• Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
