Amazon System Development Engineer I, AWS WWCO Partner Systems in Atlanta, Georgia

Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated System Development Engineer to join our Partner Connectors (PC) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining fit-for-purpose connector applications (plug-ins) in commonly used ISV platforms (i.e., Salesforce, HubSpot, and Coupa), integrating AWS Public APIs and processes with customers’ existing workflows and business processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, experience in developing scalable technical solutions, and a passion for building quality software.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Partner Connector solutions and integrations that enable customers to transact, procure, provision, manage and operate native AWS resources/capabilities and Marketplace products in familiar business services tooling.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize product features and system architecture.

  • Own significant portions of the product and have influence on the team’s strategy.

  • Develop scalable technical solutions that integrate with third-party platforms, leveraging service management frameworks.

  • Work closely with DevOps and Cloud operations teams to empower agile development and operational excellence.

  • Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that the team’s software meets the highest standards of quality.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Work in an agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in software development, preferably in a cloud computing or SaaS environment.

  • Strong experience in developing scalable technical solutions that integrate with third-party platforms.

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C#.

  • Experience with APIs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of Python scripting language

  • Experience on highly concurrent, high throughput systems and knowledge of complex distributed systems

  • Familiarity with commonly used ISV platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot and Coupa.
