Job Description

Volt is seeking an individual with expertise in cybersecurity implementation to support the team of a major defense contractor in Aurora, CO. The qualified candidate will have a background in hardening Linux systems to government IA standards, as well as designing and implementing Identity and Access Management (IdAM) and Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC) using LDAP. Required Skills:

  • Existing US Government TS/SCI clearance

  • Experience with Linux system administration, including system hardening via patch installation and/or configuration changes

  • Good system troubleshooting skills, particularly as pertains to issues created via security hardening

  • Experience with IdAM and RBAC design and implementation using LDAP as the authentication source

  • Exposure to US Government Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and common toolsets

  • Understanding of Change Management processes and tools

  • Scripting skills in languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, or PowerShell

Required Education:

Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 6 years of related experience or 14 years of related work experience in lieu of a STEM degree.
