Provide expertise in the installation, repair and maintenance of building access control, intrusion, video, and intercom devices. Driving university owned vehicles to job sites will occasionally be required for this position. Maintain acceptable driver rating as established in Policy UTS157 Section 4.3.b.Install, maintain, repair, and test data cable and wiring, electronic door locks, access card readers, door position switches, requests to exit detectors, CCTV cameras and other security systems related hardware.Perform in field testing of the installed hardware and resolve hardware failures quickly and efficiently.Support systems preventative maintenance programs to ensure reliable and efficient operations.Collaborate with campus police, building owners and campus management for installation and maintenance projects.May assist with time and material estimates and on-the-job training.Other related functions as assigned
