Job/Position DescriptionThe position works under little supervision, with great latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This position will deploy new software and existing software through agency software management tools, currently SCCM product, and Intune to over 45,000 computers. The position performs TIER III advanced (senior-level) technical analysis, planning, design, implementation, coordination and organizing of tasks. The position will perform analysis of processes and systems for efficiency/effectiveness. Provide system level documentation.The selected candidate will be expected to attend work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy. This position will require some on-call, after hours, and weekend work. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Job FunctionsAttends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.Performs system administrator duties for SCCM and Cloud (Intune) (30%)System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)Cloud / Intune managementConfiguration Management-- Recommend configuration based on business requirements-- Configure and optimize SCCM services such as collections and deployments-- Test collections and deployments-- Create task sequences/media as requiredSoftware-- Build installation packages of software including agency created and third-party software based on agency requirements-- Create custom software tools for utilization by IT staff along with other agency representatives-- Perform QA testing of software update, performs logical description for issues and formulates/implement solutions-- Configure SCCM/Intune to deploy software at pilot sites and validate success rate and failures-- Configure SCCM /Intune to deploy software and other updates, including Windows patches and Antivirus updates, to agency computersPerforms highly advanced computer system analysis to resolution including planning, organizing, analyzing, and coordinating tasks involving multiple resources both inside and outside the agency. (25%)-- Design and implementation of computer systems software utilities which interface with application and network software for required functions-- Consult with customers and staff to more effectively plan, implement, and manage quality assurance processes for computer systems-- Interface with HHS and other agencies for planning/coordination activities related to design and implementation of applications/infrastructure for both intra-agency and inter-agency needsPerforms system administrator duties for PC Operating System (25%)-- Perform TIER III support for computer troubleshooting-- Create documentation, user guides and provide training-- Analyze computer logs to define issues and proposes plan to implement solutionsReporting-- Execute status reports to determine success rate of deployment of software packages and updatesCommunicates and coordinates professionally and effectively with directors and managers. Communication efforts to schedule testing, deployments, troubleshooting efforts and solutions. (10%)Conducts and participates in intra- and inter-agency meetings, technical forums, and IT workgroups/committees.
