Job Summary The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying growth opportunities and customer targets in the Consumer Market. They will be responsible for building high, wide and deep customer connections, selling Avient value, driving new specifications, managing projects start to finish and ultimately closing new profitable business by focusing on applications in the consumer market. Target customer roles include R&D, Engineering, Marketing, Executive Leadership and Sourcing. BDM is responsible for driving business growth for both Thermoplastic Elastomers and Engineered Thermoplastics Businesses. Up to 50% travel is required. The ideal candidate will be located in the Mid-western Region of the U.S. Essential Functions * Develop account relationships, identify opportunities and capture service opportunities in the respective markets. * Identify, drive and close new business targets consistent with short / medium / long term growth objectives. * Drive new material specifications from start to finish working across various roles internally and externally culminating in formal agreements * Develop and implement market and account specific strategies and growth plans; provide feedback on resource needs and emerging opportunities; recommend to Marketing and Product Management changes in Avient product / service offerings by evaluating product results and competitive developmen
