Job Summary The Warehouse Manager plans, directs and organizes all the activities to support the warehouse operations of the plant. Consistently plans warehouse resources and activities to meet company objectives. Responsible for the development of warehouse staff. Develops process and systems to maintain inventory accuracy and generates all required reports. Essential Functions Supervises Warehouse Supervisor and/or Warehouse Associates in performance of their duties ensuring the expected standards of job performance, discipline and safety are met. Provides associates with guidance, training and communication regarding job requirements, all OSHA safety guidelines, ISO procedures & Avient rules/expectations. Responsible for the general condition of the warehouse, shipping/receiving areas and yard areas in regard to container storage and overall cleanliness. Inspects for any improper warehousing of inventory & insures the warehouse is neat and clean at all times. Monitors all warehouse activity for proper output, productivity, and safety processes (flag up, lock out tag out, etc...). Provides coaching to employees; participates in performance management discussions and in the selection process for staffing of future open positions. Provide strategic oversight in the execution of daily warehouse operations, including the handling of goods receipts, goods issues, picklists, cycle counting, stock put away, logistics(inbound and Outbound), and quality control/assurance, utilizing the most appropriate materials handling and storage methods / equipment. Establish warehouse strategies and organizational goals; develop/track key performance indicators (KPI); utilize root cause analysis to improve performance.
