Boston University Part-Time, Temporary Technical Services Librarian for Music and Rare Books, School of Theology in Boston, Massachusetts
The Theology Library seeks a part-time (10-20 hours per week) technical service librarian with experience in cataloging musical scores, hymnals, and rare books related to music, especially church music.
Compensation
10-20 hours per week with a flexible schedule, $25 per hour. Depending upon the number of hours worked each week, this position will be for a period of 6 months – 9 months.
Required Skills
Required Qualifications
MLS from an ALA-accredited institution.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience cataloging and working on metadata projects in an academic library setting.
Background in music cataloging.
Experience with original cataloging of rare books
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or above in Music.
Experience and familiarity with Alma.
Ordering and cataloging experience using OCLC-Connexion
