Summary:

As the Sr. Engineering Technician, you will work closely with the research and development engineers in the planning, designing, developing, implementing, and verifying new and innovative ultrasound transducers. 

This position requires a person who is self-starting, self-motivated, and a problem-solving team player able to work with minimal supervision.  We will rely on their sound judgment, decision making qualities and forward thinking to rise to meet the challenges of this important work.

Essential Job Functions:

Perform complex and detailed process work on ultrasound array transducer assemblies.

Assemble and build transducer prototypes in initial feasibility research and engineering development stages.

Assists in the setup of process, test and evaluation equipment in transducer engineering lab.

Simple revisions of transducer assembling instructions  

Perform array transducer performance tests during the assembling process.

Inspects prototype design for problems or errors.

Runs tests on transducer products and equipment to ensure they function properly.

Analyzes transducer product performance per work instructions.

Provides suggestions for ways to improve transducer products, assembling tools or equipment.

Perform general diagnostics and root cause finding of array transducers.

Generate simple technical documentation (rework and assembly instructions)

Maintains records and files of all completed engineering work.

General maintenance on test equipment and engineering prototypes

Perform general procurement tasks.

Orders and replaces equipment parts or materials.
