Key job responsibilities

  • You solve difficult engineering problems with elegant and practical code.

  • You take ownership, discussing and delivering on deep technical details with other engineers on the team and across partner teams, collaborating with them to solve challenging problems.

  • You create a plans, communicate requirements, negotiate priorities, and clarify what success looks like.

  • You define, deliver, and/or implement a variety of high quality, correct, customer focused technical solutions.

  • You provide clear and concise verbal and written communication.

  • You facilitate the dialogue, asking productive questions, providing recommendations, and fostering a shared understanding to identify risks and meet business needs.

  • You participate in reviews of your peers’ work and provide useful and actionable input when submitted.

  • You raise the bar on operational excellence while meeting/exceeding system SLAs (e.g. Availability, Latency)

About the team

The AMC Core Experience team will be a great fit for you if you’re looking for a space that is as technical as it is uncharted - our infrastructure needs to be built from the ground up and we need help not only dreaming it but also making it a reality. Our short-term focus is to enable self-serve onboarding for AMC customers. This means that not only will there be opportunity to dive deep into technical matters, zoom out to participate in design decisions and overall strategy, but also ample choice in variety; as soon as we ship one application we’ll be moving on to another to solve problems. Maximizing customer delight will be our main guiding principle and so meeting with customers early and often to ensure all solutions solve the right problems, in the right way, is a core expectation for each member of AMC Core Experience.

Boulder, CO, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
