Position Summary

The Inventory Control Manager will manage inventory of all materials across multiple sites to enable the Prose team to make customized products and deliver to the customer on-time in-full. Together with the Operations & Finance teams, you will build the inventory governance model and set inventory strategies to achieve business goals with the customer in mind. You are able to bring insights from your experiences, to take a data-driven approach and to collaborate with both internal and external teams in order to optimize inventory planning processes and control systems at Prose.

This is a hybrid role based in our Sunset Park, Brooklyn manufacturing facility. Candidates based in the New York City area can expect a base salary that ranges from $100,000 to $115,000. The base salary offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement inventory strategies and control processes to achieve Stock Availability and Inventory Turn objectives.

  • Maintains and updates item master data in Netsuite system ERP. Manages cross functional collaboration to ensure completeness of data.Drives projects to implement process improvements for item information.

  • Identify inventory discrepancies in warehouse and production areas and ensure the inventory is accurate in the ERP system.

  • Analyzes production losses for raw materials and identifies process improvements to improve yield.

  • Perform monthly inventory reconciliations, cycle counts at key sites and across all locations.

  • Lead annual Physical inventory activities across manufacturing and 3PL locations.

  • Consolidate inventory snapshots and provide up-to-date full view of stock levels of materials (turnkey & non-turnkey) across multiple locations inclusive of suppliers, contract manufacturers, and 3PL warehouses, as well as stock in-transit

  • Initiate actions to mitigate inventory excess, obsolescence (EXOB).

  • Build inventory and warehouse work flows that connect with RF-Smart (WMS)

  • Synthesize reports from suppliers, homegrown OMS and NetSuite/RF-Smart to generate periodic accurate inventory updates

  • Analyze inventory profile projections, and adapt storage capacity requirements

  • Perform data analytics, devise and report KPIs to drive inventory performance and optimize storage costs.

Key Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field preferred

  • Deep understanding of ERP system [preferably NetSuite] and inventory transactions.

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in supply chain operations, warehouse, and/or inventory management

  • Implemented inventory systems & processes to support manufacturing operations

  • CPG industry experience a plus

  • Good analytical skills with the ability to articulate key insights

  • Act as a self-starter and team player and hold a customer-first mindset

  • Must be highly organized and proficient with Microsoft Excel, Gmail, Google Docs

  • Experience with NetSuite and RF-Smart is a real plus

  • Desire to work in a startup environment that is constantly changing and frequently ambiguous
