Job Description

A software startup company is looking for two Senior Software Engineers to join their Exploration team! Starting with an investment account for minors (UGMA), the Exploration team is creating new products to help parents secure their children's futures. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Responsible for end-to-end testing, using Rainforest as the automated testing tool.

- Full-Stack Development:

o Collaborate with a team of 3 full-stack engineers, maintaining a balanced focus on both front-end and back-end development.

o Work on revamping the consumer mobile application.

o Utilize a technology stack that includes React, TypeScript, and Node.js in a serverless AWS environment.

o Develop features spanning the entire stack.

- Focus on writing greenfield code that integrates with existing systems for new product development.

- You will be part of one of three engineering teams, collectively contributing to 50% of the company's efforts.

- Help support more junior engineers to learn and grow!

- Handle various products within a large application, including end-user onboarding, login and lead generation, marketing site integration, and mobile app features.

- Participate in the design and implementation of features to expand the company's service offering. They work in two-week sprints.

- Collaborate with other engineers to help us continually improve our codebase, to support a growing startup with big ambitions.

Skills and Requirements

- 4-8 years of experience within a full stack software development environment

- Hands on experience with creating features and components with React.

• Node.js experience

- Heavy JavaScript or TypeScript experience (full stack)

- Startup experience

- Mobile application development experience, React Native preferred.

Additional Requirements

- Job stability

- Ideally no agency or consulting experience (building products for multiple clients)

- Comfortable working toward business metrics/deadlines

- Experience in a serverless environment, AWS (lambda) is nice to have.

- Knowledge of financial and investment products.
