Description:

• Purpose: The Components Process group develops and implements innovative assembly processes that enable robust manufacturing for components like fuel rails battery cooling piping heat exchangers DEAC lifters etc. The primary responsibility will be to source design build and qualify the assembly process and equipment from initial design to implementation at the manufacturing site.

• Responsibilities

• Engineer design build and implement machinery tools equipment for the optimal assembly process for manufacturing products.

• Support sourcing process for new tooling and equipment

• Direct the design construction integration plant installation successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants to produce high-quality parts.

• Monitor expenditures and timing for the program and/or equipment ensuring spending stays within allocated budget.

• Develop and test of advanced process technology.

• Develop and maintain necessary documentation PFD PFMEA PCP.

• Leverage GDT skillsets to ensure manufacturing equipment tooling assembly processes and quality verification procedures meet the design requirement.

• Develop list of tooling and equipment and generate project plan for timing of these items. Ensure each item has an owner and resources needed to complete money prints parts

• Coordinate with product engineer and customer on achieving program milestones product release change management prototype deliveries

• Develop machine run-off plans with team and publish plans for team completion

• Ensure Safety compliance and manage G-Risk G-Comply and Red/Yellow/Green signoff processes

• Complete spare parts list and ensure all items are appropriately stocked

• Maintain ownership of machine corrections / improvements until Launch Deliverable signoff 6 months

Skills & Qualifications:

• On site - some travel required to various locations primarily US based with some international travel possible

• Education/skills: Bachelors degree with major in engineering or equivalent experience

• Competencies: Technical Knowledge Process Development Relationship Management Autonomy Timely Problem Solving Strong Communication

• Experience: Manufacturing Engineering plant or Product Engineering experience of 5 years or more demonstrated ability in manufacturing process and equipment design demonstrated ability in process development and qualification of equipment and tooling
