Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a dynamic Engineering Co-op in our Central Lab in Burbank, CA to join our high performing Landing Solutions Engineering Team.

This position is eligible for our Crane Flex Hybrid schedule which allows for the option of up to 2 days/week of work-from-home. Some conditions apply which will be discussed during the interview process. Full policy to be provided after hire.

Purpose of Position:

To assist ATE (Automated Test Equipment) Engineers to generate drawings, procurement supports, test software code review, and document review.

Responsibility and Accountability:

· Work in a team environment to assist Test Engineers.

· Contribute to Peer Reviews in checking assembly drawings, fabrication drawings and schematic. Adhere to formal processes and standards.

· Support part searching, quoting, and procuring.

· Support engineering dry run on test procedure.

· Support test software code review.

· Support drawing update, generate, and review.

· Take on special technical assignments as required.

Minimum Requirements:

· Taken courses in Electronic or other related Science/Engineering field (Electrical and Aerospace).

· A strong aptitude for analytical, problem solving, planning and organizational skills.

· Familiar with engineering drawings (SolidWorks) and schematics (Eagle or Altium).

· Must have knowledge in electronic circuits, typical of:

o Microcontroller/microprocessor

o Analog and digital discrete circuitry

o Programmable logic device

o Power supply circuitry

· Statistical and probabilistic techniques

· Good technical writing and verbal communication skills.

Eligibility Requirement:

  • This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Salary range: $23 to $27.50. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
