We are looking to hire an Aerospace Grinding Machinist for a Day shift to work at our Client's site in Burlington, ON for a 6-7 months contract, through our Company Volt Workforce Solutions Canada.

Pay Rate: $26.68/hr (T4)
Term: Approximately 2018-11-19 - 2019-05-31
Day Shift: Monday to Friday between 7am to 3pm EST
- Operates machinery in the Overhaul Repair Shop. Must repair complex parts, producing to close tolerances results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Performs complete set up procedures and operates the Internal and External Grinding machines.
Verifies and inspects work performed with all available types of measuring equipment. Ensures compliance with Engineering and Overhaul instructions
Utilizes all measuring equipment in order to maintain specified tolerances. Reads blueprints for each part to be machined.
Performs own inspection as job progresses. Reports discrepancies that cannot be altered independently.
Monitors machine oil and fluid levels and operation. Ensure proper running of machine and minimizes down time. Participates in Total Preventative Maintenance Training.
Maintains and cleans the equipment and work area on a daily basis.
Machines parts as requested on the Rework Material Shop Order or salvage drawing.
Completes necessary paperwork to accompany machined part including technique sheets creation when needed.
Wears company-provided personal protective equipment designated for this department.
Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School or General Education Diploma. Community College Diploma (3 year program)or40-week Machine Shop course and 3 years' experience.
Experience with verniers, micrometers, dial bores, and thread gauge. Machining experience.
