Robert Half Tax Manager - Public in Burnsville, Minnesota

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager to join our team at a CPA firm located in Burnsville, Minnesota. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing a variety of tax-related tasks, using their expertise in public accounting and bookkeeping to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our tax operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns and manage tax compliance

• Conduct tax research and planning to optimize tax positions

• Oversee and manage the tax audit process

• Provide tax advice and guidance to clients

• Manage and mentor junior tax staff

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations

• Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities

• Develop tax strategies to assist clients in being tax-compliant

• Prepare tax reports and forecast for internal management and stakeholders

• Ensure the maintenance of tax records and related documents. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 15 years of experience in the role of Tax Manager - Public in a CPA firm or similar.

• Proficiency in Public Accounting and Public Accounting Tax is mandatory.

• Demonstrated experience in Bookkeeping is required.

• Must possess strong leadership skills to manage a team of tax professionals.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Must be able to handle multiple clients and projects simultaneously.

• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

• Must have a proactive approach and the ability to work independently.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.

• Must be up-to-date with all current tax laws and regulations.

• Must have a strong ethical code and respect the confidentiality of clients' financial information.

• Experience in developing tax strategies for clients is required.

• Strong organizational skills are necessary for managing client files and tax documents.

• Must possess a client-centric approach and excellent customer service skills.

• Ability to mentor and train junior staff members.

• Must be able to make strategic decisions and provide tax advice to clients.
