Job Description

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure operators are trained in assembly operations.

  • Conduct biweekly safety training.

  • Monitor the flow of operators, product, and materials through build priorities, production queue, and material throughput.

  • Answer questions from operators pertaining to work procedures and equipment operations.

  • Assist Supervisor in evaluating performance of operators.

  • Participate in problem analysis and solution implementations.

  • Verify order status using data from SAP reports.

  • Verify and review control log sheets and product specifications to monitor the control of manufacturing processes.

  • Involve employees in safety meetings, discussions and continuous improvement.

  • Convey relevant information to Production Supervisors, Production Manager and other Leaders regarding safety, quality, customer service, productivity, and throughput etc.

  • Ensure all operators follow proper rotation policy and Development System.

  • Operate or monitor production equipment as needed.

  • Notify facilities of equipment malfunctions as necessary

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Able to problem solve.

  • Must be proficient in all transactions used by assembly.

  • Ability to train others and give work instructions.

  • Requires basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division,calculate percentages, convert decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals.

  • Requires basic abilities to read, write, and communicate in English.

  • Computer experience using SAP program preferred.

  • Computer experience using Microsoft Word preferred.

  • Must be available for overtime.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

  • Minimum two years of assembly/manufacturing experience required
