Job Description

Volt is looking for a RF/Microwave Test Technician for our client, a S&P 500 company for the Chelmsford, MA location.

Primary Responsibility

Characterize RF/microwave components using automated, semi-automated and manual test equipment to determine small signal and large signal performance of components including Power Amplifiers, Switches and Low Noise Amplifiers, including on-board control and power management circuitry. Coordinate prototype assembly with the assembly staff, and make limited assembly modifications.

Key Skills

Familiarity with RF/microwave test equipment such a Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Analyzers, Vector Signal Generators and Power Meters. Familiarity with MMICs, RFICs and laminate assemblies. Familiarity with modulated signals and linearity measures. Also helpful is familiarity with design tools such as Altium, AutoCAD, ADS and Cadence.


3 years working in a RF/microwave engineering lab, or engineering/engineering technology degrees with some lab experience. Individuals with partial degrees, especially advanced degrees, may be suitable.
