Lead Maintenance - Mechanical

Main Tasks:
Lead and Guide the team to implement best-in-class, proactive equipment maintenance program to enhance equipment reliability and maintainability to reduce downtime and meet pre-set targets.
Lead / Guide the team to evolve predictive systems /approach to identify the root cause of failure and formulate steps for improvement of MTBF and MTTR thereby increasing the availability of equipment’s.
Guide team to conduct RCA for the Mechanical breakdowns in the equipment’s and ensure implementation of the Corrective and Preventive Actions.
Guide team and accountable for AMC service providers for the equipment’s and ensure completion of the scheduled task.
Coach and guide the Maintenance technicians on the mechanical concept of the plant equipment’s.
Monitor, Analyse and share recommendations for managing the expense budget (R&M and Power) and monitor the performance to stay in sync with the projected plan through development of local source (Import substitution) for some machinery parts and alternate source of power to optimize the maintenance and power cost respectively.
Guide the team in Planning to ensure critical spares availability always for all key equipment’s including spares inventory control and management.
Ownership of Work Permit Systems.
Ensure periodic review, risk assessment of process performance and analyse in case of any deviation & evaluate the action plan & its effectiveness.
Safety - Lead the team and collaborate to achieve the target of Zero Accident in the site set by the company by identifying the potential hazards in the site and eliminating them, to carry out risk analysis for the activities performed / locations where the activities are performed and take appropriate countermeasures for the high risk and medium risk activities / locations, to continuously watch the shop floor and identify the near misses and hits and correct the situation before any accident occurs.
To ensure compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements related to environment including 3C and 5S.
Accountability for the effectiveness of the QMS / ISO / IATF implementation
Facilitate team members development and growth.
Represent BASF to improve company image in relevant automotive forums / events / networking

Leadership Skills - Need to exhibit leadership capability. Some of these qualities include optimism, self-motivation, compassion, organizational skills, and trustworthiness.
Technical expertise in functioning of mechanical equipment’s like Pumps, Gear boxes, Screw rods, agitators, Conveyor systems.
Hydraulics & Pneumatics Operated Machines
Hands on Experience on SPM’s
Basic Knowledge about Robotics (ABB & Koch)
Exposure working with global technical team
Knowledge of problem-solving methods like 5Why, 8D, RCFA
Trouble shooting knowledge in PLC, VFD & Servo Systems
Exposure in working with statuary requirements
Exposure of implementation of Preventive / Predictive / TBM
Having experience with various suppliers including global vendors
Working knowledge in SAP PM / MM modules.
Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position
Education: B.E / B. Tech / (Mechanical / Mechatronics).
Working Experience: B.E Minimum 10 Years.
Technical & Professional Knowledge: Auto ancillary / Process Industry.
