VCA Animal Hospitals Certified Veterinary Technician: Anesthesia/Imaging in Clackamas, Oregon

VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician for our Diagnostic Imaging: Anesthesia Team!

Diagnostic Imaging Service: Our Diagnostic Imaging Team works with all services to provide the most advanced care possible for every patient utilizing the newest diagnostic equipment and therapeutic techniques.

Our DI Anesthesia Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of anesthesia during diagnostic procedures. As an Anesthesia Veterinary Technician, you will work closely with our teams to provide high-quality care and support.

Responsibilities:

Anesthesia Administration and Patient Monitoring:

  • Administer anesthesia for a diverse range of patients.

  • Monitor vital signs during anesthesia and surgery, including heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and temperature.

  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status, taking appropriate action to ensure patient safety.

  • Accurately document anesthesia protocols, patient information, and vital signs.

  • Maintain detailed records of medications administered and any complications or issues encountered during procedures.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with team members to coordinate and optimize patient care.

  • Communicate effectively with the teams regarding anesthesia concerns and patient status.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Perform regular maintenance on anesthesia equipment and ensure that it is properly calibrated and functional.

  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, and assist in troubleshooting and resolution.

Requirements:

· Licensed Veterinary Technician- CVT, LVT, RVT, VTS

· 2 + years of Anesthesia experience

Compensation: Pay range is $31 – 35 / hour . Compensation

is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. We offer a competitive wage with a shift differential.

Schedule: Full-Time opportunity, Monday- Friday 10am-6:30pm,
