Material Handler - Plant 8S "Columbia, SC"

Position Overview

Provide support for the BCF Extrusion department operating the waste baler.

Pay Rate: $18.91

12 hour rotating shift - 14 days a month

Responsibilities:

• Perform all job duties working safely and following all safety rules and procedures

• Responsible for the transporting of nylon/polyester/RPET waste

• Disposal of the bale yarn

• Disposal of waste from the collection system

• Weigh and label bales accurately

• Transport bales to Inspector/Packing area

• Clean wheels on waste bins

• Operate and inspect hoist

• Must be able to drive a sit down fork lift truck

• Complete facility routine tasks such as daily housekeeping and special projects as required

• Performs duties as assigned by Supervisor

Requirements:

• Be able to sit, stand or walk for 10 to 12 hours

  • Be able to bend, stoop, squat, lift, carry and reach occasionally

  • Be able to lift and carry packages weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds frequently

  • Ability to climb four flights of stairs routinely

  • Be able to distinguish between colors

  • Must demonstrate basic mechanical knowledge

  12-hour rotating day/night shifts (7a - 7p/7p - 7a) schedule.

Work Shift

12 Hr rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Act Calendar, days & AM/PM start time changes in the rotation
