The Opportunity

This Brand Manager - Glucerna Outpatient HCP works out of our Columbus, OH location in the Nutrition Division.

Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. The Brand Manager will lead and direct healthcare professional marketing strategies and activations for the Glucerna brand, located in Columbus, OH. Responsible for the development and management of strategies and programs to effectively achieve commercialization, profit margin and business plan objectives. Additional responsibilities include quarterly business strategic and tactical planning, leading sales team meetings, agency management, market segmentation, market research, claims advancement and budget management.

What You’ll Work On

  • Responsible for managing healthcare professional marketing strategy and activity associated with the Glucerna brand in the US.

  • Lead the holistic communication strategy, messaging, and tactical plan for Glucerna’s direct to HCP activity including media.

  • Measure performance of activation plans and proactively recommend action to continuously increase HCP recommendations and improve ROI.

  • Lead forecast and financial deliverables for Glucerna HCP activations including LBE, S&OP & budget.

  • Identify new market opportunities based on HCP targets and optimize communications to continue to drive incremental recommendations and sales.

  • Identify future research needs to aid in plan/ long- range plan development.

  • Partner with Brand P&L owner to prepare annual brand plans.

  • Manage Glucerna HCP budget monthly with direct input to forecast models and financial decisions and partner with brand P&L owner to adjust activity/spend plan with agility.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives. These groups may include HCP Sales Team, Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Public Affairs, Legal, R&D, Sr. Leaders, Global Abbott Partners and external vendors or agencies.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of brand management or marketing experience. Preferred experience in healthcare or food and beverage industry

  • 3+ years of demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams

  • Time and project management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

  • Team working skills; Preferred experience in working with sales team;

  • An ability to think strategically and develop annual activation plans

  • Analytical skills and attention to detail

  • An understanding of trends and an ability to respond to changing customer needs

  • Creativity and an ability to produce innovative and original ideas

  • The ability to manage and allocate budgets

  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with and an understanding of market research and clinical studies

  • Sales experience a plus

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA strongly preferred.

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 – $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
