Description

We have partnered with a local client on their search for an Accounting Assistant with proven job costing experience. This Accounting Assistant must have a flair for numbers and should be familiar processing invoices, completing bookkeeping activities, reviewing and entering orders, and processing job costs. Ultimately, the successful Accounting Assistant will assist with providing thorough accounting support to the finance team including: assisting with the month end close process, completing journal entries, reconciling payroll, resolving accounting discrepancies, abiding by departmental procedures and internal controls, completing accounts payable transactions, and processing bi-weekly payroll deductions.

Primary Responsibilities

· Analyze accounting data

· Spreadsheet Maintenance

· Vendor Invoicing

· Maintain accounts payable records

· Process vendor tax deductions

· Cash Management

· General ledger/account reconciliations

· Resolve statement discrepancies

· Reconciliation monthly bank statements

· Assist with month end financial statements

· Maintain ERP systems

Requirements

The ideal Accounting Assistant will have a preferably have Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration – NOT required.

Other requirements for the Accounting Assistant role include and are not limited to:

· 2+ years of general accounting/bookkeeping experience

· Must have QuickBooks experience

· Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail

· Service industry experience a plus
