Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Corpus Christi, Texas. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining the general ledger, and managing accounts receivable collections. This role is integral to our team, and we are eager to welcome a dedicated professional who is proficient in QuickBooks and has a strong understanding of general financial accounting and cost accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.

• Prepare periodic balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.

• Maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts.

• Manage the inventory of purchases, supplies and materials including purchasing, delivery, and maintaining reconciled inventory count.

• Verify payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.

• Provide assistance to external auditors; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.

• File required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.

• Process payroll and prepare necessary payroll reports.

• Collaborate with other departments to identify and develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, products, and acceptable substitutions.

• Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.

• Must have at least 3 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Strong understanding of General Ledger and Journal Entries.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with month-end close procedures.

• Knowledge of QuickBooks is crucial.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Must have excellent time management skills and meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.

• Previous experience with financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly and year-end reports, is preferred.

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
