Come and join a global team of dedicated Wireless Technologies professionals who use our skills and expertise to ensure Apple's wireless facilities and test labs are at the forefront of new innovations. We are looking for a creative, practical and collaborative person with right skillset and experience to manage day to day activities in wireless test labs. At a high level, your role includes management of multiple concurrent cellular projects, direct management of subcontractors and the set up of test equipment labs for engineering teams. You will be an important member of a team solving technical challenges at Apple’s test labs!

Key Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with RF spectrum analysis and signal modulation

  • 5 years of experience with cell sites and cellular test lab environments.

  • Proficiency with RF test measurements and knowledge of fiber optic systems

  • Strong experience with radio access network equipment installations and leading cellular installation projects

  • Expertise with coaxial cabling, ability to terminate connectors, sweep and PIM test lines

  • Knowledge and experience with wireless carrier networks including design, implementation, operation and maintenance

  • Experience in lab environments with knowledge of RF shielding enclosures and rooms

  • Adept at using creative and innovative thinking to tackle problems and collaborating with business partners

Description

As a Cellular Lab Technician, Wireless, the daily operations of cellular lab projects include: Being in dynamic test labs environments to manage the design and build of new installations as well as handling engineering change requests in existing labs and implementing custom solutions to meet the needs of multiple end user teams. Leading multiple concurrent projects requires the ability to communicate clearly with test engineers, project managers, electricians, network planners and external vendors for design changes, implementation and daily of maintenance of labs. The position will require solving of RF distribution, fiber optics, chamber test set ups, IP networking and maintenance management of multiple shield rooms (HVAC, Electrical, grounding and pneumatic systems). Some Domestic and international travel will be required.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree preferred, or five years of experience with cell sites and cellular test lab environments.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $114,400.00 and $199,500.00 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
