The Planning Team Lead will lead the team responsible for reviewing and planning of the corrective maintenance notifications/work orders for a variety of wind, solar, and solar plus storage facilities.This team will also be in charge of the planning, scheduling, and tracking of routine maintenances for each site. This role will also serve as the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Manager. 25% travel to AES offices within the East Coast of the United States is expected. We are flexible for the position to be based out of any of our locations in NY, VA, OH, IN or TX. Primary responsibilities: Responsible for leading the Wind and Solar Maintenance Planning Team - a group of up to 10 to 15 planner/schedulers. Responsible for the hiring, firing, coaching, training, and development of the team members of the Planning team. Assist and provide guidance in the AES Clean Energy transition from a spectrum of maintenance work practices and CMMS tools to the unified SAP based solution. Supervise the team responsible for creating work| orders for corrective and preventive maintenance items which include estimated hours, job assignments, parts, tooling, safety plan, rigging requirements, etc. in the CMMS tool. Prepares and schedules work orders for 3rd party O&M contractors required to accomplish all maintenance activities (e.g. 3rd Party NERC required maintenance). Assist in measuring and improving maintenance KPI's such as determined by alignment with corporate guidelines. For instance - schedule compliance, rework, break in work, Pm/Pd.M. compliance, Mean Time Between Failures, Mean Target Time to Repair, Mean Time to Respond, etc. These metrics will be used to monitor internal performance, as well as 3rd party O&M providers. Communicates routinely with operations/maintenance teams to review work priorities and schedules. Assists the local Planner/Schedulers in working with Lead/site personnel to develop planned and forced outage resource loaded schedules. Assists the local site planner/schedulers to develop weekly resource loaded schedules 2-4 weeks out and leads weekly planning meetings. Assists the local site planner/schedulers in ensuring that daily work orders, time entry and parts usage are processed in the CMMS tool(s). Assists the local site planner/schedulers in interacting with Purchasing/Warehouse/Demand Planners to ensure all parts to perform service and detailed repairs are reserved, ordered and in stock for the work being forecasted in the CMMS tool. Work with other programs i.e., ePAS, SiteDocs, SCADA, EtaPro, the CMMS tool, etc. as needed. Assists the local site planner/schedulers in working with all regional Team Leaders, Lead Technicians, Demand Planners, ROCC Teams, Engineering Teams, etc. as needed to proactively schedule out inspections or other work required. Develop and implement maintenance task library to be demonstrated across all AES CE regions for maintenance plans. Follows and champions global AES Work Management processes and Corporate Asset Management Standards Educational Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Advanced training in solar or wind power generation or similar electrical experience Skills Qualifications: Demonstrate the ability to build a safe culture. Must maintain a valid State driver's license Experienced in leading people including the hiring, mentoring and developing a team Experience in Solar or Wind Generation a pus.
