Description
Investigate, collect and analyze data on traffic conditions especially as they relate to traffic flows. Traffic analysis using Synchro and HCS. Perform design studies and analysis of traffic problems related to the design and positioning of traffic structures and accessories. Examine alternative traffic control devices for effectiveness and make recommendations on the selection and layout of selected equipment. Direct the preparation of maps and layouts of proposed traffic structures with indications as to their general characteristics. Signal Designing using AutoCAD. Devise standards methods and forms for collection and presentation of traffic data. Develop traffic survey techniques.
Minimum Qualifications
US Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technologies or related plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or as a traffic engineering professional.
Special Skills Requirement: AutoCAD, Synchro, HCS, MicroStation and Traffic Signal Design

RETIREMENT BENEFITS
City Employees Retirement System
As a regular City employee you automatically become a member of the General Retirement System. This entitles you to a retirement allowance after:
• Completion of thirty (30) years of service;
At age sixty (60) if you have at least ten (10) years of service, or
At age sixty-five (65) with eight (8) years of service.
• In the event of disability, other eligibility rules apply);
- An early, actuarially reduced, retirement is offered after you have attained at least twenty-five (25) years of service;
