Amergis RN ICU Float - Rotating - Devils Lake $2314/weekly!! in Devils Lake, North Dakota

$2314 Gross Weekly for 36

"Department: Med - Tele RN (at this time they do not have an ICU unit at this hospital)

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS

  • of Beds: 25

  • Nurse:Patient Ratios: Days: 1:5-6. Nights: 1:6-7. If a patient is truly critical, the nurse will only have two or three patients at a time. For patient assignments, a new objective acuity tool has been developed. The tool scores patients on acuity level from 1 to 4 based on clinical patient characteristics and workload indicators. This method empowers nurses to score their patients so that RN assignments for the next shift are quantifiable and equitable. It also allows them to assess the level of patient safety risk

  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Peds to Geriatrics. Heart failure, intoxication, respiratory failure, social admits

  • Experience or 'Must have' skills: Will need to have ICU experience

  • Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes

  • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Insulin, lasix, cardizem

  • Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: No

  • Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes- 1:12

  • RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: Nasal cannula to vents

  • Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: RNs must be able to read and interpret

  • Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 7-7. Rotating days/nights

  • Weekend Requirement: Every other

  • Holiday Requirement: Yes

  • Floating Requirements: Will go to ED for Codes when needed

  • How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: Orientation including pathway videos, 1 day on the floor

  • Additional Notes: They do not have an ICU here so they will take ICU acuity patients on this floor

    Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.

    RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
