ManpowerGroup Quality Inspector - 1st shift $18-$20 hr Direct hire!!!! in Eastlake, Ohio

Quality Inspector $18- $20/ 1 st shift 7am - 4:30pm

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures that all quality check procedures put in place by the company are followed during every production phase.

Works closely with machining operations by performing First Article, First Piece, and In-Process inspections.

Inspects incoming materials and parts - work in process, finished goods, inventory, and assemblies for conformance to quality standards.

Documents findings and inspection results by completing reports, forms, logs, etc.

Approves or rejects materials by confirming specifications to engineering drawings.

Initiates and coordinates identification, disposal, repair, and approval process when a non-conformity has been detected.

Informs Engineering and Production teams on quality control issues and collaborates to improve overall product quality.

Builds and maintains collaborative professional relationships with members of the organization, suppliers, customers, and professional contacts.

Contact and inform suppliers of nonconformance and corrective actions.

Maintains company standards for inspection, documentation, revision control, and communication.

Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Maintains measurement tools and equipment by following operating instructions, calling for calibration or repairs.

Updates job knowledge by seeking and participating in educational opportunities or training.

Performs additional related duties as required.

SKILLS

Ability to use sound judgement regarding safety.

Ability to maintain an acceptable balance between attention to detail and efficiency.

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills (root cause, corrective/preventative actions).

Strong computer skills including MS Office, databases, and ERP systems.

Advanced math skills.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.

Customer service driven.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent required.

3+ years of experience in manufacturing environment.

1+ years of quality inspection, auditing, and testing experience in a machining environment.

Must have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings including GD&T.

Ability to select, set, use, and interpret measuring tools - calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, pins, blocks, etc.

Frequent standing and moderate sitting.

The ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.

Experience working with optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) is a plus.

Experience in machining is a plus.

Experience working with industry specific equipment (fillers, seamers) is a plus.
