The Enterprise Technology Infrastructure, Platforms & Services (ETIPS) team delivers services and operational support to meet business integration objections. As a Senior zSystems Automation/GDPS engineer you will contribute to ETIPS by being responsible for designing, coding, and implementing crucial Operations automations code and tasks. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

responsibilities:

1. Generate OPSMVS and Netview/SA rules and scripts that replace manual operator commands.

2. Create system monitoring rules and scripts to monitor system messages and conditions to allow appropriate responses by Operations and support teams.

3. Design code to generate automatic Service Now tickets. Successfully implement requests within SLA timeframes.

4. Assist in GDPS software installation and GDPS script coding and maintenance in support of the current and future Rapid Recovery/Disaster Recovery processes.

5. Serve in an "on call" rotation, which could include weekend commitments.

Required Experience: 1. 10+ years of experience in providing automation solutions via the OPSMVS and Netview/SA products

2. 15+ years of hands-on experience in the use of TSO, ISPF and SDSF

3. 15+ years of hands-on experience in the use of zOS operations commands

4. 10+ years of experience with the zOS operating system, including JES2, RACF, and other base systems.

5. 10+ years of experience with OPSMVS REXX and rules coding and with Netview/SA REXX and rules coding, specifically as it relates to GDPS

6. 5+ years of experience using the appropriate API code for functions such as generating Service Now incident tickets

7. 10+ years of experience with GDPS installation and script coding for purposes of Disaster Recovery and Rapid recovery scenarios.
