Description

We are on the lookout for a meticulous Entry Level Accountant to join our team in Edison, New Jersey, United States. In this role, you will be primarily involved in bill processing, AP invoicing, and invoice discrepancy management. You will also gain exposure to vendor management and AP reconciliations for our products, adding valuable experience to your accounting career.

Responsibilities:

• Processing bills in a timely and accurate manner

• Invoicing for Accounts Payable (AP)

• Managing and resolving invoice discrepancies, including quantity and pricing issues

• Handling vendor management tasks to ensure smooth operations

• Conducting AP reconciliations for various products

• Processing freight discrepancies to ensure accurate accounting

• Assisting with AP audits

• Utilizing software such as Oracle and Excel for the importation of financial data

• Adapting to new software systems, with a future transition into SAP anticipated

• Continuously learning, taking on new responsibilities, and making a significant impact on the team's workload.

Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in wholesale distribution

• Proficiency in the processing of vendor invoices

• Comprehension of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures

• Experience in account reconciliation

• Ability to identify and resolve invoice discrepancies

• Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
