OneMain Financial Operations Support Representative in Evansville, Indiana

OneMain Financial is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the open Operations Support Representative with the Back Office / Special Handling (BOSH) team. This position will provide administrative support including approval and processing of proposals from Consumer Credit Counseling Services (CCCS), adjusting account terms to approved proposal terms, maintenance of the web based CCCS portal, and consistent communication with CCCS Third Party Vendor, Peregrin. This position will also support processing of collateral (vehicle, mortgage, and personal property) lien release for both active and inactive accounts and will support processing of paid out processing documents. A solid understanding of policy and procedures, CLASS, ELF, and DVI systems knowledge, organization, time management, attention to detail, sense of urgency for state and federal compliance guidelines, flexibility with priority of work assignments, and strong communication skills are required for this role.

In the Role

  • Manage incoming requests, questions, or research inquiries for CCCS, Lien Release, or Paid Out Processing from Branch or Centralized teams via e-mail, phone call, or ServiceNow ticket.

  • Process lien release of customer collateral (vehicle, mortgage, and personal property) for active and inactive accounts, within the individual state compliance guidelines.

  • Process original copies or images verification for stamp and mailing.

  • Print and process legal affidavit letters for lien release.

  • Review and process the title remediation report.

  • Review and process error report from third party vehicle release vendor DealerTrack.

  • Research and process issues or inquiries for missing titles.

  • Process paid out processing paperwork for customer paid off loans within the individual state compliance guidelines.

  • Void paid out processing documents, when appropriate.

  • Process CCCS proposals through third-party Vendor Peregrin’s web portal.

  • Adjust account terms in CLASS to appropriately reflect approved CCCS proposal terms.

  • Assist branches with processing of lien release exceptions, or processing lien releases that are near compliance deadlines.

  • Process department returned mail.

  • Assist with additional BOSH processes when necessary (Allonges, Affidavits, Payment Processing, Borrower’s Assistance execution, etc.)

  • Assist with DMT and process updates and/or requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Proficient skills in Office Applications, (Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe PDF)

  • Proficient skills with time management, organization, and high accuracy of work

  • 1-year experience in accounting, bookkeeping, cashiering or customer service

  • Ability to quickly learn new processes and software applications

  • Ability to manage and meet deliverables for multiple concurrent workstreams

  • Basic administrative and clerical experience

Preferred

  • Experience with CLASS, ELF, DVI, and DQM

  • Financial Services and Lending background a plus
