Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is hiring for a Field Service Technician for an electrical testing company in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Repair, calibrate and maintain units

  • Customer support, phone support, support off site service centers, diagnostics and pre-repair quotes

  • Bring up, calibrate and final units deliverable to external customers

  • Interface with service coordinator to resolve customer needs

  • Interface with sales department

  • Repair defective parts and assemblies

  • Interface with Engineering to resolve design or technical issues and provide input with new product design

  • Condemn non-repairable parts and assemblies

  • Identify defects in workmanship and correct errors

  • Reliably deliver a quality product to the customer with little to zero defects

  • Implement ECOs as directed

  • Return excess inventory after jobs are complete and alert affected departments of discrepancies on BOMs and create an ECO if needed

  • Follow documented procedures per ISO standards

Minimum Skills and Competencies :

  • Associate‚Äôs Degree in Electronics, or 2+ yrs. equivalent experience

  • Must be able and willing to travel to customer sites

  • Experience trouble shooting down to component level and soldering experience

  • Familiar with computer hardware and Microsoft OS and software

  • Experience with high voltage components

Additional Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of electronics, electronics theory and practice

  • Ability to use and care for electronic equipment

  • Good technical skills and an understanding of approved methods

Travel Requirements:

  • 25% - 50% travel to customer sites
