Overview and Essential Functions

OverviewLooking for an opportunity to make a difference? Then you may have found your next career move. We’re looking for a Drafter/Designer to join our team and help connect America. Under the direction of a Drafting Supervisor, our Drafters/Designers are responsible for responding to design/documentation demands and meeting response time and output goals. Is responsible for inside plant and outside plant construction asbuilt mapping to ensure neat and accurate final product client deliverables. Assist and support a department team consisting of construction and accounting with necessary translation of field work to required deliverables. What you’ll do…

  • You will read and understand utility maps, prints, and aerial imagery to assist in identification of production dailies..

  • You will prioritize work activities by reviewing all timelines.

  • You will reconcile final project.

  • You will assist with the execution of projects and plans supporting the organization's long-term drafting strategy

  • You will participate on project teams and ensure compliance with predetermined project deliverables

  • You will adhere to administrative guidance on project execution

  • You will identify and course correct project issues and risks, participate in response plans to resolve

  • You will understand current and future business goals and ongoing issues

  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

Who we are looking for…

  • You will need fielding/engineering experience in the telecommunications/utility industry preferred.

  • High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.

  • Ability to function independent of a supervisor.

  • Adaptable computer skills and ability to research

  • Willing to learn new technologies.

  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat/utility design.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal skills are a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs and related documents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Strong knowledge in Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office.

  • Basic knowledge of CATV, telecommunications, utility design.

    Pay range is commensurate with experience: $17.00/hour to $22.00/hour
