Actalent Power Electronics Mechanical Engineer in Franksville, Wisconsin
We are looking for a Power Electronics Mechanical Engineer to join a growing team! The Power Electronics Mechanical Engineer will work closely to the system engineering team to assure that products can be built into the overall systems successfully.
Responsibilities:
Complete all aspects of the physical design and construction of electronics and electronic enclosures
Design products to meet customer's requirements and cost targets established
Enlist the help of other disciples when necessary
Maintain regular interaction with engineers and test technicians along with frequent contact with suppliers, contractors, and customers
Contribute to the seamless integration of electronics packaging solutions
Identify critical performance measures and develop processes for computing them
Develop new concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
Recommend and manage technology insertion
Utilize SolidWorks to complete designs

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree within Engineering
Must have experience in the packaging of high frequency, high power, power electronics.
This ranges in the 25-250kW power range and DC voltages up to 1500VDC
Must have good experience with designing packaging for both rack mount and panel mounted devices
Must have experience with designs to compensate for thermal challenges as well as EMC/EMI
Must experience with SolidWorks with a strong understanding of DFM/DFA
Must have a good grasp of tolerances, manufacturing details, and quality definitions for incoming part inspections
