Job Summary:

This candidate position is for a Wire Bond Lead technician in a clean room facility in Goleta, California. The position is for use on machines used to bond Gold/Silver wire from Sensor Chip Arrays (SCA) to Platforms. The Candidate must have a knowledge of machine operation, microscope use, personal protection equipment (PPE), and epoxies, adhesives, or chemicals such as IPA or Acetone. The production work is conducted inside a clean room lab with full gown suits, ESD straps, and with frequent use of computer applications such as Microsoft Office.

This is a first position, onsite role.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Execute the roles and responsibilities that come with the leadership title.

  • Anticipate working under minimal direction and in accordance with our production priority plan.

  • Take initiative of the production priority plan and execute to that plan on their own accord.

  • Answer to questions about this decision making while also reporting any constraints on material, equipment, and personnel.

  • Coordinate with management and will work under minimal or no supervision.

  • Occasionally consult with management over personnel decisions, training plans, and give advice on production decision making.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires minimum of 8 years relevant experience in manufacturing or operations.

  • Leadership experience and/or customer service

  • Previous experience working in a technical field, around ESD sensitive parts.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A self-motivated, self-disciplined individual is the ideal candidate for this position.

  • Works under minimal or no supervision.

  • Understanding of FOD and FOD reduction methods.

  • Able to solve highly complex manufacturing/operations problems and may serve as a lead resource on varied tasks.

  • Ability to lead in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of other entry-level Manufacturing/Operations employees.

•Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 52,000 USD - 127,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
