Convivial Brands Product Development Coordinator in Grand Rapids, Michigan

We're looking to add a Product Development Coordinator to our Product Management and Marketing Team! In this role, you'll provide support in the execution of product management and product development strategies for Design Design, as well as other brands as needed, with the goal of ensuring the success and efficiency of various product launches and projects from inception through development and execution. The Position:

  • Develop strong relationships across functions.
  • Know your market and stay informed of industry, market, and customer trends.
  • Assist Product Managers with overall program and process management.
  • Keep team updated on development process, samples, costs, and timing.
  • Assist and/or lead weekly Production Team Meetings.
  • Maintain Product Development Calendar.
  • Create RFQ/Data Sheet specifications for vendor quoting.
  • Manage item setup and UPC assignments in NAV.
  • Assist Product Manager with line list for financial profitability management.
  • Help Product team with sourcing, product innovation, and development.
  • Complete submission forms for art contracts.
  • Track pre-production samples and prepares for proofing sessions.
  • Manage the organization of pre-production and production samples.
  • Manage overall prgram samples (internal and external).
  • Manage Production Tracker for assigned product releases.
  • Work with Product Manager/Operations in the approval of component standards and acceptable variance through the proofing process

Required/Desired Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, marketing, or other related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

1-3 years of experience in consumer-packaged goods product development, product management, or merchandise work in the gift/home industry, or a similar industry preferred.

Capacity to understand product specs and component standards (how items are built, and materials used).

General understanding of profitability and margin requirements for product categories.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse population.

Must be a self-starter and problem solver, capable of functioning in a dynamic, fast paced, change oriented environment.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Thrives on creating organization in their work, being focused, and a strong passion for the details.

Ease and comfort in ambiguity, learning new programs, processes, and adjusting as required.
