We install, own, operate and maintain this compressed air system for an agreed time and supply a steady stream of high-quality, guaranteed, compressed air. JOB FUNCTION: Works daily on the manufacturing floor providing leadership, training, and support to Production Associates ensuring quality, safety, and production goals are being met. Administratively reports to the Director of Manufacturing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between all relevant departments including but not limited to Outside Sales, Engineering, Operations, and all management. Conduct production meetings to outline and report on the goals and objectives of Manufacturing and to discuss potential issues that could impact productivity. Work closely with all production employees to ensure that set production levels and quality standards are met. Train and develop associate skill levels to include but not limited to on-the-job training, cross training coverage, safe work habits and good housekeeping. Support ongoing development of associates by providing clear performance expectations, specific feedback on behaviors, effective coaching, mentoring, identifying, and providing developmental opportunities. Identify, develop, and implement process improvements when necessary. Establishes, implements, and revises written procedures relating to the manufacturing operations. Assists with updating KPI reports and ensures the MDI tracking board is current. Actively participate in problem solving initiatives (root cause analysis, 5 whys, etc.) Ensure associates have an organized, safe, and clean workspace supporting compliance with safety rules in the work area. Approve time/absence reporting, vacation planning, overtime, etc. Work with Director of Manufacturing and Human Resources on annual reviews, pay raises, attendance, rewards, disciplinary action, and any other personnel issues that may arise. Other duties as assigned by Management. NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Associates or higher degree preferred, and 5-7 years related supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in production planning, quality control methods, and manufacturing engineering preferred. Ability to lead a team in a diverse production environment. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts preferred. Ability to read and understand blueprints / engineering drawings. Strong computer skills (MS Office) preferred. Ability to make and execute sound business decisions. Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities Prior production experience working with pneumatic assemblies preferred.
