The Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Third Party Liability (TPL), is searching for an organized clerical assistant to perform various duties and services to support the entire division.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will utilize complex decision-making skills to screen all new incoming correspondence relating to Casualty (personal injury), Estate Recovery, and other such requests sent to TPL for appropriateness, completeness, and urgency, and assist with completion of program-related forms. You will use various databases to research, analyze and evaluate information. You will correspond verbally and in writing to obtain information required to respond to inquiries on case status and program requirements. Additionally, you will gather, research, and distribute as appropriate all incoming faxes, scanned documents, paper files and checks to appropriate agent, investigator, supervisor or director.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
