Reference #: 4424975 THE POSITION The Bureau of Motor Vehicles is currently seeking a Clerical Assistant 3 to serve as the initial point of contact for customers entering the Customer Service Area. This role requires a professional and friendly demeanor, as the successful candidate will be responsible for warmly greeting customers and providing them with the appropriate ticket for their transaction. Additionally, Clerical Assistant 3 will be responsible for efficiently processing complex motor vehicle and driver licensing applications received from the general public. If you possess excellent customer service skills and are looking for a rewarding opportunity, do not hesitate to apply today!   DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you should have a thorough knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Code, procedures, and regulations adopted by the Department of Transportation pertaining to registration and licensing. You will examine and process basic and/or complex motor vehicle and driver license applications using a personal computer (PC), including but not limited to the following:

Driver Licensing Renewing and/or replacing of regular or commercial driver license, occupational limited license, probationary license, ignition interlock licenses; renewing or replacing of non-driver photo identification cards, updating commercial driver license medical certifications, satisfying or processing driver license restorations, processing request for paid information for driver license information, satisfying bad check cases or refunding requests. Motor Vehicles Reviewing and processing applications for request of ownership to motor vehicles from existing Pennsylvania motor vehicles or vehicles purchased from out of state, issuance of various registration plates that are available to the public to existing or new motor vehicle records such as special organization plates, vanity tags, antique/classic/vintage registration plates, seasonal, farm plates/biennial certificates. Processing requests for vehicles that have been imported or exported, processing request for odometer reading corrections, processing request for salvage vehicle titles, process regular motor vehicle registration renewals, updates , and/or replacements of credentials, requesting for weight changes to motor vehicles, recording or removing lienholder information to motor vehicle records, restoring registrations suspensions, processing applications for persons with disability parking placards, creating dead tag records for returned registration plates. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Overtime available after training is complete. Mandatory overtime, partial day office closing is authorized. To include but not limited to early dismissals for inclement weather. The day before holidays and special holiday closing. One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements:
