The Bureau of Driver Licensing is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join their team as a Clerical Assistant 3. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating effective communication between subordinates and the unit supervisor and manager. You will also play a crucial role in maintaining workflow and ensuring that assignments are distributed efficiently. If you are ready to take on this exciting challenge, do not hesitate to apply today and embark on a rewarding career with the Bureau of Driver Licensing.   DESCRIPTION OF WORK As part of this position, your main responsibility will be to handle the processing of Ignition Interlock Limited License (IILL) petitions. Additionally, you will be assigned various tasks related to customers who are under suspension, revocation, disqualification, or cancellation and are seeking to restore their driving privileges in accordance with the requirements set forth by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Vehicle Code (Title 75). It will be your duty to ensure that proper notification is given to customers and that any products or correspondence are returned as directed by the Vehicle Code. Your role will also involve exercising independent judgment to determine the eligibility of individuals for an IILL. This will require carefully reviewing the petition and the customer's driver record. If the customer is deemed eligible, you will be responsible for processing their petition. However, if they are found to be ineligible, you will need to deny the petition. Another important aspect of your job will be performing data entry for IILL petitions and various other types of restoration work that is received by the unit. This will involve updating Pennsylvania driver records by processing forms, statements, and other documents that are received through the mail from customers whose driving privileges have been suspended, revoked, cancelled, or disqualified.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
