DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be carefully reviewing eligibility, entitlement, and medical information provided, to ensure accuracy and consistency. As a Human Resource Analyst 1, you will utilize your analytical skills to interpret policies and procedures and provide supervisors and staff with the most up to date information. Effective communication is key as you will be interacting with staff and management on a daily basis. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: Administering the FMLA/SPF and Leave Donation programs for an assigned client area using collective bargaining agreements, Management Directives and other policies, procedures, and guidelines Approving or rejecting requests for FMLA/SPF absences Completing actions in the FMLA Workbench, and entering absences, as well as long-term LWOP absence actions in the database Providing information to supervisors and educating them on their role Providing written notification to employees in accordance with the FMLA Regulations Maintaining contact with employees who have been approved for FMLA/SPF absences to determine when they are expected to return to work Continuously monitoring FMLA/SPF absences to ensure entitlement is not depleted Working with agency HR Staff to keep them informed of all active FMLA/SPF absences. This includes FMLA/SPF absences that overlap with other programs, such as Workers' Compensation (WC), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), State Employee Assistance Program (SEAP) or Labor Relations (LR) Ensuring proper benefits are provided based upon policy and the Affordable Care Act

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience in the performance of technical human resource duties; and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
