Pennsylvania's Office of Administration is looking for a Human Resource Analyst 1 professional. This position is located in the Veterans' Preference and List Management Section. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position is responsible for reviewing candidate residency and processing furloughs and furlough checks. This position will, on occasion, make a determination of granting veterans' preference to candidates. It also consults with and advises state agencies (both headquarters and field locations) and county agencies on the policies and procedures related to the merit system employment regulations and merit system employment furloughs. You will become knowledgeable of merit system employment regulations, merit system employment furlough, Act 71, the Military Affairs Act, and all related policies, practices, and procedures.

Further, you will be trained to gain a thorough knowledge of the Merit System Employment Process Guide, the Merit System Employment Certification Procedures, and Merit System Employment Furlough Guide. You will learn and use various automated systems, which include NEOGOV, SAP, Skype, Microsoft Teams, and using a VPN.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, two days per week in-office three days telework. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
