Description Robert Half is hiring a Staff Accountant for a growing organization in the Harrisburg area. The Staff Accountant will support the branch office with accounting and administrative support to include billing, purchasing, payroll, project support and cost accounting types of activities

Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for assisting in the accurate recordkeeping and maintenance of all financial recordkeeping activities, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. Assist with weekly payroll processing & reporting. Perform account reconciliations, analyses, & journal entries. Responsible for transactional activities such as expense recording. Provide job accounting assistance with Project Managers. Responsible for assisting in the tactical execution of financial projects & deliverables. Responsible for day-to-day partnering with operations to assist with procedures and administrative tasks. Assist in conducting month-end and year-end closures. Prepare Audit documentation Work with the Accounting Manager to improve financial processes. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, or Finance Strong organizational and communication skills Self-starter with demonstrated initiative. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency Minimum 1 year of related accounting experience
