Description

The responsibilities of the Inventory Control Specialist include the analyzing, auditing & managing inventory control items; lead by overseeing the control of day-to-day inventory operations & teams to achieve production schedules and customer requirements; train and maintain company systems data base; the ability to implement effective inventory control protocols and demonstrating a detailed oriented approach.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee & audit of the Inventory Control operational requirement & functions for all transactional processes within the company.

  • Determine to identify & report on idle stock and obsolete items.

  • Analyze documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.

  • Investigate & document inventory issues, analyze root causes and provide solutions.

  • Back up to Inventory & Planning roles

  • Collaborate & work with solution integrators, IT team, business process owners to plan, create, conduct training, implement, and test system implementations and future system/process enhancements in our production planning/inventory systems structure.

  • Develop expertise in relevant business area and analyze to ensure that the system applications are to support business improvements and implementing best practices by fully utilizing ERP system capabilities in the current and future.

  • Plant expert on Point of use system for company computer systems and database/dashboards. Develop plans to identify train and retain Functional Power Users

  • Develop, analyze, and document requirements for cross functional solutions.

  • Create ERP/Database searches and reports as necessary and train and share with others as needed.

  • Prepare and present reports, charts, and tables detailing these inventory factors to company stakeholders to help inform inventory and production planning strategy decisions.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in ERP/WMS Translution module interrelationships to work effectively with peers on integrated business processes.

  • Continue industry education to improve your skill set and increase your knowledgebase. Follow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)

Requirements

  • Must have strong Inventory Control Management skillsets & concepts. Strong analytical skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing or high-volume warehouse environment

  • Must have excellent professionalism, interpersonal skills, and communication (both verbal & written).

  • Must have excellent organizational & prioritization (time management/multi-tasking) skills, able to adapt to changing priorities, initiative to learn cross functional tasks/responsibilities, and enthusiastic about seeking out opportunities for efficiency improvement.

  • Must have people management experience/exposure.

  • Must be able thrive in fast-paced ambiguous/ autonomous environment and demonstrate acute attention to detail when carrying out duties.

  • Ability to work both independently & collaboratively and make crucial decisions.

  • Must have basic understanding in fundamental database design and development. Ability to gather data from multiple sources and manipulate the data for analysis.

  • Must be able to execute training with computer software, especially databases and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office & computer-based programs. KPI development

  • Ability to utilize and train employees on technology, processes, and procedures.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical documents, instructions, or reports.

  • Preferred certificate within Inventory Management and/or Production Planning/ Supply Chain Management and Microsoft Data Programs
