Cypress Creek Hospital features individual units for adolescents and adults and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Position Summary

Provide nursing care for psychiatric and chemical dependency patients under the direction of a registered nurse. Administer and monitor the effects and side-effects of medication and treatments order by a physician. To ensure the safety and provide milieu management including crisis intervention to patients age adolescent to geriatric.

Job Duties:

• Provide nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse.

• Administer medication and medical treatment as prescribed by a physician.

• Assist with milieu management.

• Document ongoing patient progress clearly and concisely as required by hospital and regulatory agency standards.

• Participate as member of interdisciplinary treatment team.

• Ensure nursing interventions.

• Provide appropriate nursing intervention/documentation in crisis situations.

• Report unsafe conditions.

• Provide age-specific communication, limit setting and interventions.

• Provide health education to patients and their families.

• Interact with patients and staff in professional manner, promotes teamwork and demonstrates Service Excellence

• Attend mandatory staff meetings.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

  Qualifications

  Licensed Vocation Nurse Job Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

• Current license to practice in the State of Texas.

• Current CPR certification
